Current Construction Lane Closures in Northwest Broward County

SR 7 Improvements Project from Commercial Boulevard to south of Glades Road in North Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale, Margate, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Parkland and Palm Beach County

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction of State Road 7 between north of NW 31st Street and south of the Broward/Palm Beach County Line will be closed, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, for the installation of signalization and roadway lighting.

One southbound, outside lane on State Road 7 between Commercial Boulevard and NW 31st Street will be closed, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, for the installation of underground conduit and roadway lighting.

One alternating lane in each direction along State Road 7 will be closed, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday between north of NW 31st Street and south of the Broward/Palm Beach County Line for paving operations.

One lane in each direction along State Road 7/US 441 will be closed intermittently 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday, for signalization (traffic control cabinet) operations at the following intersections: Sample Road, Cullum Road, Wiles Road, Winston Park Boulevard, Sawgrass Expressway eastbound entrance, Sawgrass Expressway westbound entrance, Regency Lake Boulevard, Johnson Road, Hillsboro Boulevard, and Loxahatchee Road.

University Drive Oakland Park Boulevard Mobility Improvements in Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale, Tamarac and Sunrise

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction will be closed between Sunrise Lakes Boulevard and NW 57th Street on University Drive, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for road widening work and electrical, drainage, concrete and landscaping operations.

One lane in each direction will be closed between Sunrise Lakes Boulevard and NW 57th Street on University Drive, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, for roadway and drainage work.

North Broward Mobility Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction of SE 3rd Avenue between Hillsboro Boulevard and SE 10th Street will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for lighting installation and sidewalk improvements. Flagmen will maintain traffic in each direction.

One lane will be closed along Green Road (48th/49th Street) from NE 14th Avenue to US 1/North Federal Highway, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for road widening operations.

Interstate 95 at Davie Boulevard Interchange Safety Improvement Project in Fort Lauderdale

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction will be closed along Davie Boulevard at the I-95 Interchange, 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for the installation of new light poles.

Two northbound inside lanes along the Collector Distributor road at Davie Boulevard will be closed, 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for the installation of mast arm foundations and column footers.

NE 23rd Avenue Bridge Replacement Project in Lighthouse Point

Traffic Impact:

NE 23rd Avenue from NE 29th Street to NE 30th Street, over the Ibis Waterway, will be closed until project completion, for the reconstruction of the NE 23rd Avenue Bridge.

Detour Route:

Traveling north from North Federal Highway

Proceed east along NE 24th Street until NE 24th Street turns into NE 22nd Avenue

Proceed north along NE 22nd Avenue and turn west onto NE 27th Court

Proceed west along NE 27th Court and turn north onto NE 20th Avenue

Proceed north along NE 20th Avenue and turn north onto NE 21st Avenue

Proceed north along NE 21st Avenue to Sample Road (end of detour)

Traveling south from Sample Road

Proceed south along NE 21st Avenue and turn west onto NE 20th Avenue

Proceed south along NE 20th Avenue and turn east onto NE 27th Court

Proceed east along NE 27th Court and turn south onto NE 22nd Avenue

Proceed south along NE 22nd Avenue and proceed west along NE 24th Street

Proceed west along NE 24th Street to North Federal Highway (end of detour)

Marine Impact:

During working hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the navigable channel/waterway under the bridge will closed to accommodate construction activity.

Intermittent single lane closures in each direction along Atlantic Boulevard from Powerline Road to SR A1A will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to build lighting structures, install conduits and restore the affected areas.

Intermittent single lane closures will occur along University Drive from Riverside Drive to Sample Road from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to build new lighting infrastructure and install new conduits.

All Electronic Tolling (AET) Phase 5A from I-595 to s/o Lantana Road

Traffic Impact:

Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike between south of Commercial Boulevard and south of Sawgrass Expressway, single and multiple lane closures, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2.

Southbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance slip ramp from eastbound Commercial Boulevard, full ramp closure, beginning Wednesday, March 25 at 7 a.m., for weeks continuously. Work includes demolition of abandoned facilities and installation of gantry related facilities.

Detour: Commercial Boulevard eastbound traffic wishing to enter southbound Florida’s Turnpike from the slip ramp will be directed to continue east on Commercial Boulevard to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Eastbound and westbound Commercial Boulevard between SR 7/US 441 and the toll plaza, single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.

Eastbound and westbound Coconut Creek Parkway between Coconut Creek Boulevard and NW 27th Avenue, single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.

Eastbound and westbound Sample Road between Tradewinds Park Road and NW 27th Avenue, single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.

Eastbound and westbound Atlantic Boulevard in the vicinity of Florida’s Turnpike, single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.

Turnpike & Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 58) Interchange Modifications

Traffic Impact:

Florida’s Turnpike northbound and southbound between Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 58) and Broward Boulevard, double lane closures, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. A third lane in each direction may close beginning at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

The southbound entrance ramp from Sunrise Boulevard to Florida’s Turnpike will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. This closure is to accommodate paving activities.

Detour: Motorists will be directed to travel east on Sunrise Boulevard to SR 7/US 441, then travel south to the westbound ramp to I-595 and follow the signs to access southbound Turnpike.

Florida’s Turnpike northbound exit ramp to Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 58A) will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. This closure is to accommodate paving activities.

Detour: Motorists will be directed to exit at Commercial Boulevard (Exit 62), continue east to SR 7/US 441, and continue south to Sunrise Boulevard. As an alternate route, motorists familiar with the area can exit at Griffin Road or I-595, continue east to SR 7/US 441, and continue north to access Sunrise Boulevard.

Florida’s Turnpike northbound exit ramp to Sunrise Boulevard West (Exit 58B) will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. This closure is to accommodate paving activities.

Detour: Motorists will be directed to exit at Commercial Boulevard (Exit 62), continue east to SR 7/US 441, and continue south to Sunrise Boulevard. As an alternate route, motorists familiar with the area can exit at Griffin Road or I-595, continue east to SR 7/US 441, and continue north to access Sunrise Boulevard.

Detour: Motorists will be directed to travel east on Sunrise Boulevard to SR 7/US 441, then travel north to Commercial Boulevard and west to the Florida Turnpike entrance ramp.

The southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Sunrise Boulevard to Florida’s Turnpike will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. This closure is to accommodate paving activities.

Detour: Motorists will be directed to continue east on Sunrise Boulevard to the signalized intersection of the Florida’s Turnpike Access Road.

Sunrise Boulevard eastbound and westbound between NW 47th Avenue and NW 56th Avenue, a single lane in each direction closed nightly between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and a second lane may close in each direction beginning at 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, March 29 through Thursday, April 2. Also, single lane closures daily between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, March 30 through Friday, April 3.
