Current Construction Lane Closures in Northwest Broward County

SR 7 Improvements Project from Commercial Boulevard to south of Glades Road in North Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale, Margate, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Parkland and Palm Beach County

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction of State Road 7 between north of NW 31st Street and south of the Broward/Palm Beach County Line will be closed, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, for the installation of signalization, roadway lighting, and for road widening operations.

One southbound, outside lane on State Road 7 between Commercial Boulevard and NW 31st Street will be closed, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, for the installation of underground conduit and roadway lighting.

One alternating lane in each direction along State Road 7 will be closed, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday between north of NW 31st Street and south of the Broward/Palm Beach County Line for paving operations.

One alternating lane in each direction on Sample Road will be closed at the Sample Road Bridge and SR 7/US 441 intersection, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday for paving operations.

One lane in each direction along State Road 7/US 441 will be closed intermittently 10 p.m to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday, for signalization (traffic control cabinet) operations at the following intersections: Sample Road, Cullum Road, Wiles Road, Winston Park Boulevard, Sawgrass Expressway eastbound entrance, Sawgrass Expressway westbound entrance, Regency Lake Boulevard, Johnson Road, Hillsboro Boulevard, and Loxahatchee Road.

Sample Road Bus Queue Jump Project in Coral Springs, Margate, Coconut Creek, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction on Sample Road and Powerline Road will be closed, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for electrical work related to lighting installation.

University Drive Oakland Park Boulevard Mobility Improvements in Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale, Tamarac and Sunrise

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction will be closed between Springtree Drive and NW 57th Street on University Drive, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for road widening work and electrical, drainage, concrete and landscaping operations.

One lane in each direction will be closed between Springtree Drive and NW 57th Street on University Drive, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, for roadway and drainage work.

One lane in each direction along Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed between NW 31st Court and NW 23rd Terrace, NW 6th Avenue and NW 9th Avenue/Powerline Road, NE 8th Avenue and NE 6th Avenue, NE 15th Avenue and NE 13th Avenue, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, for work on bus shelters 1023, 2135, 4273 and 4270.

North Broward Mobility Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction of SE 3rd Avenue between Hillsboro Boulevard and SE 10th Street will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for lighting installation and road widening operations. Flagmen will maintain traffic in each direction.

One lane will be closed along Green Road from Powerline Road to Dixie Highway, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for road widening operations.

Hillsboro Canal Fender Repair Project in Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach

Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction will be closed along the Hillsboro Canal Bridge, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for fender installation.

Traffic Impact:

During working hours, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the navigable channel/waterway under the bridge will be reduced from 40 feet to 30 feet to accommodate the work.

NE 23rd Avenue Bridge Replacement Project in Lighthouse Point

Traffic Impact:

NE 23rd Avenue from NE 29th Street to NE 30th Street, over the Ibis Waterway, will be closed until project completion, for the reconstruction of the NE 23rd Avenue Bridge.

Detour Route:

Traveling north from North Federal Highway

Proceed east along NE 24th Street until NE 24th Street turns into NE 22nd Avenue

Proceed north along NE 22nd Avenue and turn west onto NE 27th Court

Proceed west along NE 27th Court and turn north onto NE 20th Avenue

Proceed north along NE 20th Avenue and turn north onto NE 21st Avenue

Proceed north along NE 21st Avenue to Sample Road (end of detour)

Traveling south from Sample Road

Proceed south along NE 21st Avenue and turn west onto NE 20th Avenue

Proceed south along NE 20th Avenue and turn east onto NE 27th Court

Proceed east along NE 27th Court and turn south onto NE 22nd Avenue

Proceed south along NE 22nd Avenue and proceed west along NE 24th Street

Intermittent single lane closures will occur along University Drive from Riverside Drive to Sample Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to build new lighting infrastructure and install new conduits.

Traffic Impact:

Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike between south of Commercial Boulevard and south of Sawgrass Expressway will have overnight single and double lane closures, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Southbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance ramp from Commercial Boulevard will have overnight full ramp closures, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Detour: Commercial Boulevard traffic wishing to enter southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be directed to continue east on Commercial Boulevard to US 441/SR 7, travel south on US 441/SR 7, to Sunrise Boulevard and travel west on Sunrise Boulevard to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Northbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance ramp from Commercial Boulevard will have overnight full ramp closures, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Detour: Commercial Boulevard traffic wishing to enter southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be directed to continue east on Commercial Boulevard to US 441/SR 7, travel south on US 441/SR 7 to Sunrise Boulevard and travel west on Sunrise Boulevard to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Northbound Florida’s Turnpike exit ramp to westbound Commercial Boulevard (Exit 62) will have overnight single lane closures, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 21 and daily through Friday, January 24.

Traffic Impact:

Northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike between Sunrise Boulevard (Exit 58) and Broward Boulevard will have overnight double lane closures, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23. A third lane in each direction may close beginning at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

Southbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance ramp from Sunrise Boulevard will have overnight full ramp closures, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Detour: Sunrise Boulevard traffic wishing to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be directed to travel east on Sunrise Boulevard to US 441/SR 7 and travel south on US 441 to westbound I-595 to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Northbound Florida’s Turnpike exit ramp to Sunrise Boulevard West (Exit 58A) will have overnight full ramp closures, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Detour: Northbound Florida’s Turnpike traffic wishing to access westbound Sunrise Boulevard will be directed to exit at Commercial Boulevard (Exit 62), travel east on Commercial Boulevard to US 441/SR 7 and travel south on US 441 to access Sunrise Boulevard.

Detour: Sunrise Boulevard traffic wishing to access northbound Florida’s Turnpike will be directed to US 441/SR 7, travel north to US 441 to Commercial Boulevard, and travel west on Commercial Boulevard to access northbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Southbound Florida’s Turnpike entrance ramp from eastbound Sunrise Boulevard will have overnight full ramp closures, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23.

Detour: Eastbound Sunrise Boulevard traffic wishing to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike will be directed to travel east on Sunrise Boulevard to the signalized intersection of the Florida’s Turnpike & Access Road to access southbound Florida’s Turnpike.

Eastbound and westbound Sunrise Boulevard between NW 47 Avenue and NW 56 Avenue will have overnight single lane closures, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, January 20, and nightly through Thursday, January 23. If necessary, a second lane will close beginning at 10 p.m. Both lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Daytime single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, January 21 and daily through Friday, January 24.
