Scope of Work:

Dykes Road from SW 48th Court to Sheridan Street:

  • Milling, resurfacing and restriping to provide 6-foot bicycle lanes.
  • Minor widening at select locations to accommodate bicycle lanes.
  • Upgrade all signs and pavement markings to meet the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) requirements.
  • Signalization improvements at Pines Blvd intersection.

Miramar Parkway East of Dykes Road:

  • Widening along eastbound Miramar Pkwy to provide an exclusive lane from eastbound Miramar Pkwy to southbound I-75.

196th Avenue from Pines Boulevard to Sheridan Street:

  • Milling, resurfacing and restriping to provide 6-foot bicycle lanes.
  • Minor widening at select locations to accommodate bicycle lanes.
  • Upgrade all signs and pavement markings to meet the MUTCD requirements.

NW 10th Street at NW 129th Avenue:

  • Installing rectangular rapid flashing beacons and advanced crosswalk warning signs.
  • Milling and resurfacing to provide special emphasis crosswalks.
  • Upgrade all signs and pavement markings to meet MUTCD requirements.

Construction Impacts:

  • Construction will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
  • Local impacts such as events, holidays and peak seasons will be considered.
  • Temporary lane closures will occur during non‐ peak hours on non-event days.
  • Construction personnel will coordinate with businesses if any short-term driveway closures are needed. However, access to businesses and residences and adjacent schools will be maintained at all times.
  • No driveways will be permanently closed or relocated as part of this project.
