JUPITER — The closing of travel lanes on Indiantown Road from Florida's Turnpike to Chasewood Plaza is planned to start Monday.

The $2.4 million project calls for resurfacing and re-striping the roadway, as well as adding new landscaping and sprinkler systems along the sidewalks and medians. Several traffic lights also will be replaced.

Construction is scheduled to take about seven months. At least one eastbound lane and one westbound lane on six-lane Indiantown Road will remain open at all times during construction.

At least one entry/exit lane will remain open during business hours to West Jupiter Plaza, Chasewood Plaza and other shopping areas along the roadway, said Alicia De Fago, spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Transportation.
