JUPITER — One eastbound and one westbound lane on Indiantown Road will be closed starting Monday.

The lanes will be closed between Chasewood Plaza and just east of Florida’s Turnpike.
The lanes are expected to be reopened on Friday.

Improvements to the 1.5-mile stretch of Indiantown Road began in June and are expected to be complete in early 2009. The $2.4 project includes new paving, streetlights, street signs, irrigation and landscaping of medians.

On Sunday, I-95 inside and outside travel lanes between Donald Ross Road and PGA Boulevard will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The lanes are scheduled to be closed for the same hours through Thursday and reopen Friday.

All I-95 lanes will be open during daylight hours.

Construction of the 4.3-mile stretch of I-95 is expanding the six lanes to 10 lanes, which includes a High Occupancy Vehicle lane in each direction.

The I-95 project also includes ramp reconstruction and widening of existing bridges over PGA Boulevard and Military Trail. A new sound barrier wall and new lighting is also planned.

Construction started in August and is expected to be complete in winter of 2011.

Total cost is about $44 million, said Alicia De Fago, Florida Department of Transportation spokeswoman.
