Scope of Work: Project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, adding drainage and constructing a raised intersection at 7th Avenue South, upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, installing signalized pedestrian crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at 8th Avenue South, 3rd Avenue North, and 4th Avenue North, removing the existing midblock crossing between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North, upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signalization at 6th Avenue South and 2nd Avenue North, installing lighting at the intersections of 8th Avenue South, 6th Avenue South, 2nd Avenue North, 3rd Avenue North, and 4th Avenue North, and upgrading signage and pavement markings for shared bicycle facilities and buffered bicycle lanes.
