Current Construction Lane Closures in Southern Palm Beach County

I-95 Interchange at Spanish River Boulevard

Restrictions:

  • Mainline impacts: I-95 northbound and southbound, between Glades Road and Congress Avenue, may have up to three lanes closed, as needed, nightly, with the first lane closing at 9 p.m., and the second lane and third lanes, if needed, closing 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning.

  • Ramp impacts:  The new I-95 northbound exit ramp to Spanish River Boulevard is scheduled to open to traffic between Sept. 14 – 21, weather permitting. The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Congress Avenue. The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Glades Road. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Yamato Road will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Traffic will be detoured via I-95, Congress Avenue and Linton Boulevard. Please Note: The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound and westbound Yamato Road will not be closed at the same time. The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road and the I-95 northbound exit ramp to Congress  Avenue will not be closed at the same time. Please see detour flyers attached.

  • Spanish River Boulevard impacts: Spanish River Boulevard, from Broken Sound Boulevard to Airport Road, will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning, through September.

  • FAU Boulevard impacts: The northbound outside lane of FAU Boulevard, from south of PSI Drive to Spanish River Boulevard, will be closed, daily, 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, through September.

  • Yamato Road impacts: Yamato Road, from the southbound I-95 entrance ramp from eastbound Yamato Road, to the northbound I-95 exit ramp to eastbound Yamato Road, will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane closed, nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Tuesday night through Friday morning. Yamato Road traffic is shifted to the outside to allow for median construction.

  • Trail impacts: To safely construct the widening of eastbound Yamato Road, the El Rio Trail will undergo multiple detours, around the clock, beginning Monday, Aug. 14 through Thursday, Sept. 14. Bicycle access to Yamato Road from the El Rio Trail will be closed, beginning 6 a.m., Monday morning, Aug. 14. Cyclists can access Yamato Road via Spanish River Boulevard. El Rio Trail access to Yamato Road from the Tri-Rail east exit will be closed, beginning 6 a.m., Monday, Aug. 14. Pedestrian access to Yamato Road from the El Rio Trail and the Yamato Road Tri-Rail station will be maintained via the west Tri-Rail entrance/exit. Please see attached detour flyer. The T-Rex Trail is open to pedestrian traffic. State Road 7 Improvements Project from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road

Restrictions:

One northbound lane of State Road 7 from the Broward/Palm Beach County Line to south of Glades Road may be closed Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., through September 2017, for concrete, drainage, and signalization improvements. Lyons Road, just south of Glades Rd. from Norte Lago to Pine Springs Drive

Restrictions:

One lane of traffic will be closed in each direction, around-the-clock, through December 2017. For more information, please contact Community Outreach Specialist Meredith Cruz at 561-641-6440.



State Road 7/US 441 just north of Clint Moore Road to just north of Atlantic Avenue

Restrictions:

One lane may be closed in each direction, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday, through October 2017. Turn lanes and crossovers may also be closed intermittently for paving operations as needed. Please note, the outside (3rd) northbound lane, just north of Clint Moore Rd. that extends about 2000 feet to Bridge Brook Drive, is closed around the clock, leaving only two northbound lanes open when the contractor is not working. For more information, please contact Community Outreach Specialist Meredith Cruz at 561-641-6440.
