This project will improve safety, access and traffic flow.
• Repaving and re-striping the existing roadway.
• Constructing a 10-ft paved shoulder from north of Griffin Road to north of the Seminole Travel Center/Marathon Gas truck stop.
• Adding a southbound left turn lane and northbound right turn lane into the Seminole Travel Center/Marathon Gas truck stop.
• Widening of the bridge over the C-11 canal.
• Replacement and upgrading of signage impacted by construction.
• Replacement and upgrading of the existing lighting north of Griffin Road.
• Repair of I-75 bridges over U.S. 27 and Glades Parkway.
• Intelligent Transportation Systems technology devices will be upgraded along U.S. 27.
• Work will be done in phases to reduce the impacts to the community.
• Temporary detours and lane closures will be required.
• Access to properties along the corridor will be maintained during construction.
• Daytime and nighttime lane closures are expected for this project.
