Project Purpose

To enhance safety by upgrading the intersections with mast arms and other safety improvements

Replace existing signalization strain pole systems with mast arms.
Upgrading pedestrian signals and detectors.
Upgrading the existing intersection lighting.
Replacing and upgrading existing curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Repaving the existing roadway within the intersections.
Upgrading signing and pavement markings.
Adding a 11-foot-wide northbound right turn lane on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and Baker Road intersection.

All work will be done in phases to reduce the impacts of construction on the community.
Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to all businesses and residential properties will be maintained at all times during construction.
