Project Purpose

To improve intersection safety and operations by installing a new traffic signal at S.R. 710 and Garcia Drive and relocating the existing midblock crossing to the intersection.

Project Improvements

  • Install new traffic signal at the S.R. 710 and Garcia Drive intersection.
  • Remove the existing mid-block pedestrian crossing located just east of Indianwood Drive.
  • Repave and restripe the roadway within the vicinity of the intersection.
  • Upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity.
  • Provide lighting at the new signalized intersection.

Construction Impacts

  • Work will be done in phases.
  • Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours.
  • Access to properties will be maintained during construction.
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times.
