Project Purpose

Repave and restripe the existing roadway to extend the service life of the pavement, enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.

Project Improvements

  • Repave the existing roadway to improve the resiliency of our infrastructure.
  • Widen the roadway pavement 3 feet on both sides to provide seven feet buffered bike lanes to better accommodate cyclists who wish to use the roadway.
  • Replace areas of deteriorated pavement to improve safety for motorists.
  • Modify curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to facilitate improved access for users with disabilities.
  • Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity.

Construction Impacts

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
  • Flagging operations will be in place while repaving and detours will be utilized while areas of deteriorated pavement are replaced.
  • Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during construction.
  • Another public meeting (Construction Open House) will be held prior to construction. Detailed information about how to keep informed of potential construction impacts will be provided at that meeting.
