The purpose of this project is Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) improvements of SR 845/Powerline Road from Atlantic Boulevard to NW 30th Place in the City of Pompano Beach in Broward County.
This project consists of Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) improvements of SR 845/Powerline Road from Atlantic Boulevard (MP 6.519) to NW 30th Place (MP 9.142) in Broward County. The main objectives of the project are to extend the life of the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing, replacement of signing in poor condition, and new pavement markings. SR 845 (Roadway ID: 86065000) is a north/south, six-lane divided, principal urban arterial with a design speed of 45 mph and a posted speed of also 45 mph. The roadway has a context classification of C3C: Suburban Commercial, and C4: Urban General and is part of the emerging Strategic Intermodal System (SIS).
Work will be scheduled in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
Temporary lane closures will take place during non-peak hours to reduce the impact on the public.
Access to businesses and private properties will be maintained during construction.
