The purpose of this project is to implement traffic signal, lighting, and intersection improvements that enhance safety and mobility for all roadway users.
· Replace existing span wire signal support system with a mast arm system.
· Extend the northbound left turn lane by eliminating the southbound left turn into the PNC Bank.
· Replace and upgrade existing curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
· Repave the existing roadway within the intersection.
· Upgrade signing and pavement markings.
· Upgrade the existing intersection lighting.
· Construction will be completed in phases to minimize impacts to the community.
· Periodic lane shifts and lane closures are anticipated.
· Access to businesses will be maintained during construction.
· Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained throughout construction.
· Another public meeting (Construction Open House) will be held prior to construction. Detailed information about how to keep informed of potential construction impacts will be provided at that meeting.
