This project will improve safety, access, and traffic flow along the project roadways. The improvements are designed to better accommodate current and future travel needs, improve connectivity for motorists and commercial vehicles, and support long-term regional mobility.
U.S. 27 from north of Griffin Road and north of Sawgrass Recreation Park
• Repave the existing roadway to extend the service life of the pavement and enhance safety for motorists.
• Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity.
• Add a southbound left-turn lane and northbound right-turn lane into the Seminole Travel Center/Marathon Gas Truck Stop from U.S. 27 to separate vehicles wishing to visit the travel center from through traffic, improving safety and traffic movement.
• Replacement of any impacted lighting.
U.S. 27 from Miami-Dade/Broward County Line to north of Sawgrass Recreation Park
• Upgrade Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) along U.S. 27 to ensure the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) has the best data possible for FDOT and local partners to dispatch Road Rangers, update Traffic 511, and notify the public of traffic conditions and travel times via overhead signs (known as Arterial Dynamic Message Signs or ADMS.)

I-75 bridges
• Repair of I-75 bridges over U.S. 27 and Glades Parkway to extend their service life.
• Work will be done in phases to reduce the impacts to the community.
• Temporary detours and lane closures will be required along I-75. Traffic flow will be maintained at all times along U.S. 27.
• Access to properties along the corridor will be maintained during construction.
• Another public meeting (Construction Open House) will be held prior to construction. Detailed information about how to keep informed of potential construction impacts will be provided at that meeting.
