Project Purpose

To enhance roadway safety by improving lighting and visibility along S.R. 5/South Quadrille Boulevard from Lakeview Avenue to Banyan Boulevard.

Project Improvements

  • Install new light poles with LED fixtures along both sides of S.R. 5/South Quadrille Boulevard.
  • Install new light poles at the following intersections: Lakeview Avenue, Iris Street, Hibiscus Street, Gardenia Street, Fern Street, Evernia Street, Datura Street, Clematis Street, and Banyan Blvd.
  • Install lighting at midblock crosswalks within the limits.
  • Remove existing light poles within the limits.
  • Replace sidewalk at lighting installation locations.

Construction Impacts

  • Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours.
  • Access to properties will be maintained during construction.
  • Temporary pedestrian paths and detours will be provided for work impacting existing sidewalks.
