Project Purpose

To enhance roadway safety by improving lighting along S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard, from West of I-95 to West of Garden Road including upgrades at the S.R. 708/I-95 interchange and associated ramps.

Project Improvements

  • Replace and upgrade existing lighting infrastructure, including new standard light poles
  • Install underdeck lighting for both daytime and nighttime visibility
  • Replace sidewalk segments and curb ramps at lighting installation sites
  • Upgrade lighting load centers

Construction Impacts

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community
  • Lane closures will occur one lane at a time during non-peak hours to minimize impacts on traffic
  • No full roadway closures are anticipated
  • Access to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times
  • Pedestrian detours will be provided for sidewalk closures during construction
