Anticipated Completion Date: Summer 2028

Estimated Construction Cost: $9.2 million

Project Purpose

Repave and restripe the existing roadway to extend the service life of the pavement, enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists while updating crosswalks, ramps and pedestrian signals to comply with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Scope of Work

  • Repave the existing roadway to improve the resiliency of our infrastructure. Restripe the road to provide 6-foot wide bike lanes with a painted buffer to enhance safety for bicyclists who wish to use the roadway. Reduce the posted speed to 45 miles per hour (mph). Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity. Increase the lighting at pedestrian crosswalks at signalized intersections to make pedestrians more visible to drivers, improving safety. Modify curb ramps and pedestrian detectors (button) to comply with the ADA to facilitate improved access for users with disabilities.

Construction Impacts

Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Repaving and restriping will be performed at night. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during construction and pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times.
