Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity. Improve drainage at the SE Bridge Road and Petty Street intersections and locations along the corridor where there is standing water today. Upgrade all guardrail along the corridor to current standards to prevent errant vehicles from leaving the road, improving safety. Modify the existing curb returns and ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards to facilitate improved access for users with disabilities. Construct sidewalk from Highbourne Way to the Jonathan Dickinson State Park entrance 600-feet to the south. PROPOSED SUN TRAIL IMPROVEMENT: Construct a 12-foot paved shared use path for bicyclists and pedestrians, physically separated from vehicular traffic, along the west side of US 1 from Bridge Road to Osprey Street.
