Scope of Work and Project Improvements

  • Widening SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, separated by an 18-foot wide median with stamped concrete and landscaping to improve safety and traffic operations.
  • Constructing new right-turn lanes on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard at the north and south approaches to SW Paar Drive to enhance traffic flow.
  • Constructing new signalized intersections with mast arms on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard at SW Paar Drive and SW McCall Road to improve safety and traffic operations.
  • Upgrading existing sidewalk curb ramps and constructing a new 8-foot to 10-foot wide sidewalk along both sides of SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard and adjacent side streets to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity.
  • Upgrading the existing lighting to LED fixtures and installing new light poles on the east side of the roadway within the project limits to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians.
  • Constructing a new drainage system to enhance functionality and long-term resiliency.
  • Installing signage and pavement markings to improve safety, functionality, and traffic operations.

Traffic Impacts

  • Lane closures are permitted daily, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Nighttime work may occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Residential and business access will be maintained.
