Scope of Work

The project improvements consist of minor reconstruction, and milling and resurfacing the roadway throughout the project limits of S.R. 5/U.S. 1 from Belvedere Road to south of S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard to enhance infrastructure resilience and safety for the community.
Reconstructing curb ramps to meet ADA criteria and replacing portions of the existing sidewalk to improve pedestrian safety, connectivity, and use.
Upgrading signing and pavement markings to enhance visibility and safety.
Replacing drainage structures within driveways.
Adding a new signalized mid-block crosswalk north of Vallette Way.
Upgrading pedestrian signalization at Belvedere Road and Flamingo Drive and the crosswalk north of Cranesnest Way.
Installing overhead flashing beacons within the school zone north and south of Flamingo Drive.
Upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and installing a new light at Flamingo Drive.
