Scope of Work and Project Improvements

  • The project improvements include milling and resurfacing the roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term infrastructure resilience.
  • Constructing a right-turn lane along southbound SR 7/US 441 to westbound Royal Palm Boulevard/West Copans Road to improve vehicular capacity and mobility.
  • Modifying the median to extend the eastbound Royal Palm Boulevard/West Copans Road left-turn lane to northbound SR 7/US 441 for additional vehicular storage capacity.
  • Upgrading the existing traffic signals with mast arms to enhance long-term infrastructure durability and resilience.
  • Installing 10 new light poles and upgrading existing fixtures to LED lighting to enhance nighttime visibility and safety.
  • Upgrading curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage within the project limits to improve visibility and connectivity.

Traffic Impacts

  • Lane closures on SR 7/US 441 and Royal Palm Boulevard/West
    Copans Road are permitted, daily, as needed, from 6:00 a.m.
    until 11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and, nightly,
    as needed, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Sunday
    through Thursday.
  •  Motorist and pedestrian access to businesses and residences
    will be maintained at all times.
