Scope of Work and Project Improvements

Project improvements consist of widening S.R. 838/Sunrise Boulevard at the S.R. 9/I-95 Interchange overpass to accommodate dual right turn lanes onto northbound and southbound S.R. 9/I-95 to improve vehicular capacity and operations
Widening the southbound S.R. 9/I-95 (Exit 29) off-ramp to accommodate triple left and triple right turn lanes onto SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard to improve vehicular capacity and operations
Milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term infrastructure resilience
Installing new light poles with LED fixtures at the S.R. 9/I-95 Interchange to enhance nighttime visibility
Installing Wrong-Way Driver detection systems on all ramps at the S.R. 9/I-95 Interchange to improve vehicular safety
Upgrading existing signalization features to improve pushbutton accessibility and enhance pedestrian safety
Adding a shared-use path on the S.R. 838/Sunrise Boulevard bridge over S.R. 9/I-95 to enhance pedestrian connectivity
Upgrading sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to enhance visibility and accessibility.
