Scope of Work and Project Improvements

Project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term resilience, widening northbound S.R. 817/University Drive to accommodate a 7-foot bicycle lane from S.R. 824/Pembroke Road to S.R. 820/Pines Boulevard, constructing a new 10-foot shared use path along northbound S.R. 817/University Drive from S.R. 820/Pines Boulevard to NW 13th Street and southbound S.R. 817/University Drive within the project limits to improve connectivity, upgrading drainage within the project limits and restoring the canal cross section to enhance long-term infrastructure resilience, upgrading the existing traffic signals at the intersections of Airport Road, French Drive, and Johnson Street with new mast arm signals to enhance resiliency, installing new light poles, and upgrading existing fixtures to LED lighting to enhance nighttime visibility and safety, and upgrading sidewalk curb ramps, signage, and pavement markings through the project limits to improve visibility and connectivity.
