Project Purpose:
Rehabilitation of the asphalt pavement and updating signals, lighting, and curb ramps to facilitate resiliency, and improve safety.
Scope of Work:
- Repave the existing roadway
- Improve traffic and pedestrian signals
- Upgrade lighting for pedestrian crosswalks at signalized intersections
- Upgrade curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Upgrade signage and pavement markings
- New High Emphasis Crosswalk on the west side of NE 6th Street
Construction Impacts:
- Temporary pedestrian detours may be required during construction
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
- Access to properties adjacent to the corridor will be maintained throughout construction
