Scope of Work:
- Construct a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal.
- Realign pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge.
- Replace and upgrade signage impacted by construction.
- Add pedestrian lighting at the pedestrian bridge.
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community.
- A detour will be required for a limited duration (approximately one week) to set the pedestrian bridge in place from the roadway.
- The detour will not impact the pedestrians, as the portion of the bridge will be opened for pedestrians all the time.
- Temporary lane closures will be required during non-peak hours.
- Pedestrian and vehicular access to all properties will be maintained at all times.
