The in-person Public Meeting will take place at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library located at 14350 Hagen Ranch Road, Delray Beach, Florida 33446. The latest social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Start Date: Spring 2024

Completion Date: Fall 2027

Estimated Construction Cost: $14 million

Scope of Work:

  • Widen from a 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane divided roadway with accommodations for future 6-lane facility with widening to the inside to reduce impacts on the public
  • 6-ft wide sidewalks and 7-ft wide buffered bicycle lanes on both sides from State Road 7 to Lyons Road
  • Expanded intersection at SR 7/US 441 and SR 806/Atlantic Avenue to include a third northbound and southbound through lane and a second northbound right turn lane
  • Expanded intersection of Lyons Road and SR 806/Atlantic Avenue to include three through lanes eastbound and westbound, dual eastbound and westbound left turn lanes and single eastbound and westbound right turn lanes
  • Relocated and reconfigured LWDD L-34 Canal to meet Lake Worth Drainage District standard canal cross section and maintenance access areas
  • Reconfigure existing SR 806/Atlantic Avenue bridge over Lake Worth Drainage District E-1 canal to accommodate eastbound sidewalk
  • Incorporate new LED street lighting

Construction Impacts:

  • Work will be performed in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community
  • Bicycle traffic will be maintained on the road using shared lane markings
  • Pedestrian detours will occur, however, existing sidewalk will remain open on one side at all times
  • Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times during construction
  • Nighttime work is expected for the final repaving operations
