Belvedere Road Improvements at the I-95 Northbound On/Off-Ramp Connection

Description: Project improvements consist of adding a second right-turn lane on the SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to eastbound Belvedere Road, widening, milling, resurfacing and adding a paved shoulder to the existing SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to Belvedere Road, installing new mast arms assemblies and pedestrian countdown signals, implementing a Wrong Way Driving Countermeasure System, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) upgrades, new sidewalk construction on the south side of Belvedere Road from the exit ramp to eastern project limits, new signalization, lighting, curbs, gutter and drainage improvements, new fencing and sod installation. The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Belvedere Road may have one inside lane closed daily, 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and nightly, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Belvedere Road at I-95 may have one outside lane closed in each direction, daily 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and nightly, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

I-95 Southbound Off-Ramp to Belvedere Road

Description: This 0.5-mile project in West Palm Beach began on September 18, 2023. Improvements include widening SR 9/I-95 southbound to lengthen the off-ramp deceleration lane, installing speed feedback signs to provide drivers' traveling speed compared to the posted speed limit, providing a High Friction Surface Treatments on the SR 9/I-95 southbound off-ramp, implementing a Wrong-Way Driving detection system, replacing impacted sign structures and upgrading pavement markings and signage. Cost/Completion: The project cost is $2.58 million. Completion is expected Summer 2024. I-95 Traffic Impact:

I-95 southbound from south of SR 704/Okeechobee Boulevard to the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Belvedere Road, may have three outside lanes closed nightly, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Ramp Impact:

The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Belvedere Road will be closed overnight as needed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured to Belvedere Road via westbound SR 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue.

The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) will be closed overnight, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured to PBIA via westbound SR 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue.

Consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.

Belvedere Road Impact: Belvedere Road will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. 1.

SR 9/I-95 at SR 786/PGA Boulevard Southbound Entrance Ramps Project

Description: This 0.65-mile project in Palm Beach Gardens began on November 9, 2022. Improvements consist of reconfiguring the I-95 southbound entrance ramps at PGA Boulevard. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound PGA Boulevard to southbound I-95 will be converted from a merge lane to an additional, free-flowing lane. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound PGA Boulevard to southbound I-95 will be reconfigured to become a merge lane. In addition, I-95 will be widened between PGA Boulevard and Burns Road, and lighting, drainage, signage and pavement markings will be upgraded. I-95 southbound will have up to 3 lanes closed nightly, as needed, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, March 4 through Wednesday, March 12.

Ramp Impact:

The I-95 southbound entrance ramps from eastbound and westbound PGA Boulevard will be closed nightly as needed, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, March 4 through Wednesday, March 12, for roadway construction and paving operations. Traffic will be detoured to I-95 southbound via Military Trail and Northlake Boulevard.

SR 9/I-95 Northbound Off-Ramp at SR 706/Indiantown Road Improvements Project

Description: This 1.446-mile project in Jupiter began October 30, 2023. Improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, re-aligning the SR 9/I-95 northbound to SR 706/Indiantown Road eastbound off-ramp to a new signalized intersection, lengthening the eastbound SR 706/Indiantown Road left turn lane to northbound SR 9/I-95, widening eastbound SR 706/Indiantown Road to provide an additional through lane and a buffered bike lane in various locations from the Florida Turnpike entrance to Central Boulevard, widening westbound SR 706/Indiantown Road to provide an additional through lane and a bike lane from 67th Road North to SR 9/I-95, widening the Indiantown Road Bridge over the C-18 canal in both directions to provide an additional through lane, upgrading Wrong-Way Driving Countermeasures on the SR 9/I-95 northbound and southbound exit ramps, upgrading Digital Message Sign (DMS) structures on westbound SR 706/Indiantown Road between Island Way and 67th Road N, widening the I-95 northbound and southbound on-ramp acceleration lane, installing sidewalk along eastbound SR 706/Indiantown Road from the Florida Turnpike entrance to Island Way, upgrading curb ramps to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards, installing patterned pavement crosswalks at Central Boulevard, upgrading drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) throughout the project corridor. The SR 9/I-95 northbound exit ramp to eastbound SR 706/Indiantown Road will have one lane closed around-the-clock, through September 2024.

Indiantown Road Impact:

Two outside eastbound lanes of SR 706/Indiantown Road from the Turnpike on/off ramp intersection to 67 road N will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m. and the second lane will close at 10 p.m. for road widening work.

Two outside westbound lanes of SR 706/Indiantown Road from 67 road N to the Turnpike on/off ramp intersection will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m. and the second lane will close at 10 p.m. for road widening work.

Traffic Impact: Eastbound and westbound Hypoluxo Road over Florida’s Turnpike/SR 91
