Scope of Work:

  • Repave Okeechobee Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue from East of S. Tamarind Avenue to West of S. Flagler Drive.
  • Provide designated bicycle lanes or Shared Lane markings (Sharrows) on Okeechobee Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue within the project limits.
  • Upgrade sidewalks and crosswalks with ramps to comply with American with Disability Act (ADA).
  • Upgrade pedestrian signals posts at Sapodilla Avenue, Rosemary Avenue, Quadrille Boulevard, S. Olive Avenue and Dixie Highway intersections.
  • Upgrade road signage and pavement markings to current FDOT standards including bike lane markings.
  • Upgrade lighting to better illuminate pedestrian crosswalks at the Quadrille Boulevard, S. Olive Avenue, Dixie Highway and Flagler Drive intersections.

Construction Impacts:

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community.
  • Temporary lane closure to build the improvements will be completed during non-peak hours (day/nighttime).
  • Pedestrian and vehicular access to all properties will be always maintained.
