Scope of Work:
To extend the service life of the pavement and improve safety for motorists, bicyclists,
and pedestrians, the project will:
- Repave the existing roadway and restripe to accommodate a designated bike lane.
- Upgrade pavement markings and signage.
- Reduce the posted speed limit to 35 m.p.h.
- Replace areas of deteriorated pavement.
- Make improvements to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
- Upgrade pedestrian signals and detectors at signalized intersections.
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
- Lane closures will be done during off-peak hours and nighttime.
- Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the project; however, short term detours will occur.
