Scope of Work: Project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway from SR 845/Powerline Road to SR A1A/North Ocean Drive to ensure long-term resilience; installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices and upgrading Adaptive Traffic Signal Control (ATSC) cameras and Dynamic Messaging Signs (DMS) throughout the project limits; constructing a new mid-block pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of SR 870/Commercial Boulevard and NE 26th Avenue to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians; upgrading the signalization from span wire to mast arms at the intersection of SR 870/Commercial Boulevard and Woodlands Boulevard; improving pedestrian signals at various signalized intersections throughout the project limits to enhance pushbutton accessibility; upgrading existing light poles with new LED fixtures and installing additional light poles throughout the project limits to improve nighttime visibility; and upgrading sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to improve visibility and accessibility.
