Scope of Work: Project improvements consist of adding new sidewalks within the project limits to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians; milling and resurfacing the existing roadway from Northeast 44th Place to the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railroad and from Northeast 18th Avenue to SR 5/US 1/North Federal Highway to ensure long-term infrastructure resilience; installing new drainage to ensure long-term resilience; upgrading existing pedestrian signals and lighting at the intersection of Floranada Road/Northeast 45th Street and SR 5/US 1/North Federal Highway to enhance pedestrian safety and nighttime visibility; upgrading curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to improve visibility and accessibility.
