PURPOSE OF PROJECT:
The I-595 Resurfacing Project is to rehabilitate the existing roadway to extend the service life of the pavement and enhance safety.
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS:
- Resurface and restore I-595 Express lanes, general lanes, and State Road (SR) 84 to improve pavement.
- Upgrade pavement markings to meet ADA and FDOT standards.
- Restore roads for smoother driving, reduced vehicle wear, improved fuel efficiency, and enhanced safety.
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce impacts of construction in the community by closing one or two lanes at a time.
- Roadway resurfacing will be performed at night.
- Access to properties adjacent to the corridor will be maintained throughout construction.
