A Public Meeting Was Held: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 6:00 PM. The public meeting will be offered in two different formats: virtual and in-person.
The virtual public meeting took place via GoToWebinar.
Both formats consisted of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff was available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions were answered in the order received. Questions and comments may also be submitted by e-mailing the Project Manager.
Widening the southbound off-ramp from mainline by one lane from south of SW 14 Street to allow for a two-lane exit to Royal Palm Boulevard (one exit only and one choice)
Repaving and restriping the southbound on-ramp from Royal Palm Boulevard
Widening to modify the existing entrance to SR 93/I-75 to a side-by-side entrance for the southbound on-ramp from Royal Palm Boulevard
Widening from north of South Post Road (SW 36 St) to the Griffin Road overpass
Widening the southbound off-ramp to Griffin Road westbound to provide two exit lanes (one exit only and one choice)
Repaving and restriping Royal Palm Boulevard from east of the Weston Road intersection to SR 93/I-75 northbound ramps
Northbound:
Widening the SR 93/I-75 northbound on-ramp from Griffin Road to two lanes
Widening to construct an auxiliary lane from the northbound on-ramp from Griffin Road to serve as an option lane to northbound off-ramp at Royal Palm Boulevard
Widening the northbound off-ramp at Royal Palm Boulevard to provide one dedicated exit lane and one option lane at this exit
Construction Impacts:
Work will be done in phases to reduce the inconvenience to the community
Lane closures, ramp closures, and detours will occur during non-peak hours to minimize impacts on traffic
Access to nearby businesses and residential properties will be maintained at all times during construction
