Project Purpose: The Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) project will extend the service life of the pavement, enhance roadway safety, and improve operating characteristics of the corridor.

The in-person public meeting followed an open house format and took place on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Deerfield Beach-Boca Ratonlocated at 100 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach, Florida 33441. Staff was available to answer questions and provide assistance.
During the virtual public meeting, comments and questions were answered in the order received. If a question was not answered during the event, a response was provided in writing following the meeting. Questions and comments may be submitted by emailing the Project Manager.

Scope of Work:
Repaving and restriping the existing roadway within the project limits
Replacing and upgrading the existing pedestrian curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Upgrading signing and pavement markings
Narrowing lanes to 11-foot to accommodate 6-foot buffered bike lanes
Constructing a sidewalk along the east side from north of Sample Road to NE 54 Street
Proposing new pedestrian crosswalks including pedestrian signalization and lighting at:
North of NE 38 Court
North of NE 44 Street
North of NE 51 Street
South of SW 7 Street
Upgrading pedestrian signalization and lighting improvements at the following signalized intersections:
Pompano Distribution Center II
NE 48 Street
NE 54 Street/SW 15th Street
SE/SW 10 Street
SE/SW 4 Street
Construction Impacts:
Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will occur
There will be no complete road closures
Access to properties adjacent to the corridor will be maintained throughout construction
