Project Purpose: To make improvements throughout the intersection which will improve safety for all users of the intersection.
Anticipated Construction Start Date: Spring 2026
Anticipated Construction End Date: Winter 2026
Estimated Construction Cost: $900k
Scope of Work:
- Increase the lighting at pedestrian crosswalks to make pedestrians more visible to drivers.
- Install backplates with yellow retro-reflective borders on all signal heads to improve signal visibility for motorists.
- Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity.
- Repave the existing intersection to improve our infrastructure.
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
- Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours.
- Access to properties will be maintained during construction.
- Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times.
