Project Limits: State Road (SR) 7 from South of Lake Worth Road to North of Lake Worth Road
Project Purpose: The Intersection Improvement project will extend the service life of the pavement, enhance roadway safety, and improve operating characteristics of the corridor.
Construction Start Date: Spring 2025
Construction End Date: Spring 2026
Estimated Construction Cost: $2.6 million
Scope of Work:
- Convert the existing Northbound outside through/right lane to a through-only lane and add an additional exclusive right-turn lane
- Repave and restripe the existing roadway within the project limits
- Provide a bicycle Keyhole between Northbound through and right-turn lane
- Upgrade pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
- Upgrade signing and pavement markings
- Replace existing Overhead Sign Structure
- Upgrade existing signalization
- Install lighting on proposed signalization
- Improve drainage as needed
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
- Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed during off-peak hours
- Repaving and restriping will be performed at night
- Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times
