Scope of Work:
A grade separation alternative at SR 710 and Northlake Blvd. intersection was studied and presented during the public hearing from the 2013 PD&E study. Public opposition, primarily from the City of West Palm Beach and the PGA National residential community led FDOT to reject the grade separated alternative.
Widen SR 710 from Northlake Boulevard to Blue Heron Blvd from 4 lanes to 6 lanes.
Street lighting and new mast arm signals at intersec¬tions along SR 710 from Northlake Boulevard to Blue Heron Blvd.
Railroad crossing upgrade at SR-710/Northlake Boule¬vard intersection.
An Innovative at grade intersection configuration, Par¬tial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) is now pro¬posed at the intersection of SR 710 and Northlake Blvd. to provide more green time for left turn movement, and to avoid right of way acquisitions.
Replacement of the Florida's Turnpike bridge over SR 710 to provide 5 lanes in each direction, with two in¬side lanes being managed lanes, two lanes being gen¬eral purpose lanes, and outside lane being an auxiliary lane.
Barrier wall 8 ft high along Steeplechase Community.
Construction Impacts:
Work will be completed in phases to minimize construction impacts.
Access to properties adjacent to the corridor will be maintained throughout construction.
