Project Limits: U.S. Highway 1 (US-1)/Federal Highway between Gulfstream Boulevard and Bamboo Lane

Project Purpose: This project will improve safety and nighttime visibility by providing street lighting on existing and proposed Florida Power and Light (FPL) poles along the corridor.

Poles Installation:

• Proposed Start Date: July 2024

• Proposed Completion Date: August 2025

Retrofit Poles:

• Proposed Start Date: July 2024

• Proposed Completion Date: November 2024

Estimated Construction Cost: $158,707

Scope of Work:

• Filling in the gap to existing lighting along US 1/Federal Highway from Gulfstream Boulevard to Bamboo Lane
• Installation of new luminaires and retrofitting of existing luminaires on joint use FPL poles on the West side of US 1/Federal Highway
• Installation of new FPL Stand Alone Light Poles on the East side of US 1/Federal Highway

Construction Impacts:

• Lane closures will take place during off-peak hours
• Access to businesses and residential properties will be maintained at all times during construction
