Purpose of Project: Repave and restripe the pavement along northbound and southbound SR 9/I-95 to extend the service life and enhance safety.

Estimated Construction Cost: $8.2 million
Scope of Work:
- Mill and resurface the existing pavement along northbound and southbound I-95 and along the entrance and exit ramps at the Midway Road interchange.
- Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity along I-95 and the ramps at the Midway Road interchange.
- Install larger overhead sign structures to better inform motorists of the Midway Road exits.
- Add three new Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) camera poles to ensure the District 4 Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) has the best data possible for FDOT and local partners to dispatch road rangers, update Traffic 511, and notify the public of traffic conditions and travel times via overhead signs.
Construction Impacts:
- All work will be done in phases to reduce impacts of construction on the community.
- At least one through lane on I-95 will remain open in both directions at all times.
- Single lane closures on I-95 and ramp closures will be limited to the hours of Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Ramp closures will occur one ramp at a time and detours will be provided.
- Dual lane closures on northbound I-95 will be limited to the hours of Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Dual lane closures on southbound I-95 will be limited to the hours of Sunday through Thursday from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- A public meeting (Construction Open House) will be held prior to construction. Detailed information about how to keep informed of detour routes and potential construction impacts will be provided at this meeting.
