1. State Road (SR) 5/US 1 Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) Project
Description: This mile project began on May 5, 2025. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to enhance safety and long-term resiliency, widening the bicycle lane by restriping it from 4 feet to 5 feet to increase safety, constructing 25 new light poles with LED fixtures at signalized intersections to boost nighttime visibility, reconstructing existing sidewalk curb ramps throughout the project limits to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians, upgrading existing pedestrian signals at signalized intersections to improve push button accessibility, and upgrading signage and pavement markings to enhance safety, functionality, and traffic operations.

US 1 between SE Decker Avenue to SE Fischer Street will have one southbound lane closed, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, through Thursday, through Thursday, July 31, for curb reconstruction, sign installation and pedestrian signalization.
US 1 between SE Decker Avenue and SE Fischer Street will have one northbound lane closed, Sunday through Thursday, through Thursday, July 31, for curb reconstruction, curb and gutter work, curb ramps, signing, and pedestrian signalization installation.
2. State Road (SR) 9/I-95 Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) Project
Description: This -mile project on SR 9/I-95 from north of County Road (CR) 708/Bridge Road to the Martin/St. Lucie County line is anticipated to begin on June 22, 2025. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the SR 9/I-95 mainline from north of CR 708/Bridge Road to the Martin/St. Lucie County line to enhance safety and long-term resiliency; widening the northbound SR 9/I-95 entrance ramp shoulder from SR 76/Kanner Highway to improve safety and traffic operations; constructing new lighting to increase nighttime visibility; installing Wrong Way Vehicle Detection Systems (WWVDS) on SR 76/Kanner Highway, SR 714/Martin Highway, and CR 713/High Meadow Avenue ramps to improve safety; and upgrading signage and pavement markings to enhance safety, functionality, and traffic operations. SR 9/I-95 between Bridge 890122, south of the SW High Meadow Avenue on ramp, to the approach of Bridge 890111, at the Martin/ St. Lucie County line, will have two northbound lanes closed, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, June 22, through Wednesday, July 2, for milling and resurfacing the roadway.

3. SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard Widening Project, from south of SW Alcantarra Boulevard to south of SW Darwin Boulevard
Description: Construction on this -mile widening project began on Thursday, January 27, 2022. The City of Port St. Lucie, as Project Sponsor, requested the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, design and construct this project through an application to the St. Lucie Transportation Planning Organization and City of Port St. Lucie Resolution 18-R42. Project improvements include widening SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, installing three new signalized intersections with mast arms at SW Alcantarra Boulevard, SW Tulip Boulevard, and SW Tunis Avenue, adding a right turn lane on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard's north approach to SW Alcantarra Boulevard, constructing an 18' wide raised median with curb and gutter, upgrading crosswalks and curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, constructing 8'-10' wide sidewalks on both sides of SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard for pedestrian and bicycle use, and 6' wide sidewalks on side streets, installing a new closed drainage system, signing, pavement markings, signalization, and lighting upgrades, and landscaping for the median including trees, irrigation, and stamped concrete. Traffic Impacts:
Northbound and southbound traffic on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard between Darwin Boulevard and south of Liberty Avenue was shifted to the west onto the newly constructed southbound travel lanes on Wednesday, Feb. 26 to facilitate roadway construction activities on the east side.

SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard between SW Squirrel Avenue and SW Alexandria Avenue will have one northbound lane closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, June 27, for roadway and drainage construction.
City of Port St. Lucie project/adjacent to the project corridor:
The Port St. Lucie Boulevard South Project Segment 3, managed by the City of Port St. Lucie, is reconstructing approximately miles of the existing four-lane roadway from SW Gatlin Boulevard to SW Darwin Boulevard and a portion of SW Darwin Boulevard. Traffic Impacts:
The speed limit has been lowered to 30 mph for the duration of the construction project.
Closure of existing median openings at both SW Yale Street and SW Cairo Avenue.
One northbound through lane will be eliminated on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard north of SW Aurelia Avenue to Gatlin Boulevard, leaving one through lane and one dedicated left turn lane onto westbound Gatlin Boulevard.
4. State Road (SR) A1A North Causeway Over the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW) Bridge Replacement Project
Description: This project began on May 1, 2023. The SR A1A North Causeway Over the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW) Bridge Replacement project improvements consist of constructing a new high-level fixed bridge connected directly to SR 5/US 1 going over the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railroad, Old Dixie Highway, and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW) featuring: one 12-foot travel lane in each direction, navigational clearances of 85 feet vertical and 125 feet horizontal at the waterway channel, installing a barrier-protected 8-foot sidewalk on the south side of the bridge and a barrier-protected 12-foot shared use path on the north side of the bridge, installing 7-foot buffered bicycle lanes within the shoulders on both sides of SR A1A, constructing a 12-foot shared-use path along Old Dixie Highway to provide connectivity to the East Coast Greenway, building an observation deck beneath the west side of the new bridge structure, constructing a new access road under the bridge to businesses east of the FEC Railroad, extending Juanita Avenue from SR 5/US 1 to Old Dixie Highway, and connecting SR 5/US 1 and Old Dixie Highway along Sunny Lane. Channel Impacts:
Partial Channel Closures: Between dawn and dusk, Monday through Friday, through late 2026, in water work will continue directly adjacent to, and at times partially restrict, the navigable waterway with barge(s) in order to perform maintenance work on the bascules of the existing bridge and perform other associated construction activities. At least 45 ft. width of the channel shall remain open at all times. Vessels needing a full channel passage are required to provide the bridge tender with a 30-minute advance notice to allow for the barge to clear the channel. During the evening/overnight hours the channel will be unobstructed. All in-water equipment will be properly lighted. All mariners are requested to use caution and transit the area at a slow speed. Traffic Impacts:
Signal operations may be impacted by project activities and are being monitored closely during construction for temporary adjustments to reduce congestion.
As part of the North Causeway Bridge Replacement Project, crews will close the eastbound and westbound lanes on SR A1A between CR 605/Old Dixie Highway and SR 5/ US 1 through approximately late 2026 for roadway and bridge construction. Detour Information:
SR 5/ US 1 to eastbound SR A1A motorists will be detoured via Juanita Avenue and CR 605/Old Dixie Highway to SR A1A.
Westbound SR A1A to SR 5/US 1 motorists will be detoured via CR 605/ Old Dixie Highway and Juanita Avenue or Sunny Lane to SR 5/US 1.
Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
Once the construction is complete, traffic will be shifted onto the new bridge and the eastbound and westbound lanes will be open on SR A1A between SR 5/US1 and CR 605/Old Dixie Highway.
To ensure community and crew safety as we work to enhance the roadway and provide a safer and more resilient infrastructure, the SR A1A and CR 605/Old Dixie Highway intersection was shifted slightly south on Monday, April 28, to facilitate the construction of the west end of the new North Causeway Bridge. Please note that the traffic lights at the SR A1A and CR 605/Old Dixie Highway intersection will be removed and replaced with a 2-way stop. Traffic will remain in the new configuration until the new bridge is opened to the public, which is anticipated for Late 2026. Please see the detour flyer attached for more information.

Juanita Avenue west of US 1 will have the westbound lane closed, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for installation of drainage catch basins. A Flagging operation will be in place to assist motorists.
SR A1A between Old Dixie Highway to just west of the draw bridge will have one eastbound lane closed, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway reconstruction.
Harbortown Drive will have one lane closed in either direction, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway construction. A flagging operation will be in place to assist motorists.
SR A1A between the North Causeway Island Park Entrance and Harbortown Drive will have one westbound lane closed, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for bridge deck maintenance. A flagging operation will be in place to maintain local traffic.
SR A1A from just west of Little Jim Bridge to the existing North Causeway Bridge will have one westbound lane closed, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway work. A flagging operation will be in place to maintain local traffic.
US 1 between NE 3rd Street and the US 1/SR A1A intersection will have one northbound lane closed, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway construction and right turn lane extension.
US 1 from 500 feet south of the US 1/SR A1A intersection to Juanita Ave will have one northbound right turn lane closed, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for mast arm installation.
Old Dixie Highway between Sunny Lane and SR A1A will have one lane in either direction closed, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway reconstruction. A flagging operation will be in place to maintain local traffic.
Old Dixie Highway between SR A1A and 200 feet north of Juanita Avenue will have one lane intermittently closed, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for solar flashing stop sign installation and rumble strip installation. A flagging operation will be in place to maintain local traffic.
Marina Access from Old Dixie Highway to the North Causeway Bridge will have one lane closed in either direction, Monday through Friday, through Friday, Aug. 29, for roadway construction.
5. Savannas Preserve State Park SUN Trail Improvements Project, from Walton Road to Kitterman Road
Description: This -mile project began on July 26, 2023. Project improvements consist of constructing approximately miles of accessible multi-use trail featuring a 10-foot-wide multi-use trail with boardwalk sections. 6. SUN Trail Improvements Project from Kitterman Road to the Savannas Recreation Area
Description: This -mile project began on July 21, 2024. This segment of the Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Network will be located within the Savannas Preserve State Park. The project improvements consist of constructing approximately miles of 10-foot wide (8-foot where constrained) accessible multi-use trail. 7. County Road (CR) 712/Midway Road Widening Project from west of Jenkins Road to Selvitz Roada
Description: This -mile project began on April 1, 2024. The project improvements include widening CR 712/Midway Road from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway. The eastbound and westbound lanes of CR 712/Midway Road will be separated by a raised landscaped median. Additional improvements include constructing left turn lanes in the median to allow access to adjacent side streets, properties and businesses, constructing 7-foot buffered bicycle lanes on both sides of CR 712/Midway Road, constructing 6-foot sidewalk along the north side of CR 712/ Midway Road, constructing a 12-foot bicycle/pedestrian path along the south side of the project, installing landscaping along the south side of the project, and upgrading drainage, signage and pavement markings. Traffic Impacts:
Westbound Midway Road traffic between Selvitz Road and east of the Turnpike is shifted to the north through December 2025, to facilitate roadway construction. The outside westbound travel lane on Midway Road east of the Selvitz Road intersection is now a right turn-only with the middle lane as a through lane to continue west on Midway Road.

8. State Road (SR) 68/Orange Avenue Resurfacing Project from North 32nd Street to west of SR 5/US 1
Description: This project began on May 28, 2024. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, installing bicycle shared-lane markings (sharrows) on travel lanes from east of 13th Street to SR 5/US 1, reconstructing pedestrian sidewalk curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards, upgrading lighting at signalized intersections to improve pedestrian lighting at the crosswalks, upgrading pedestrian signalization at signalized intersections and installing a new pedestrian mid-block signal at South 8th Street, adding reflective border to existing traffic signal backplates for increased visibility of signal lights, upgrading vehicle detection at the signalized intersections of 5th Street and 7th Street, and upgrading signage and pavement markings. SR 68/ Orange Avenue between 13th Street and US 1 will have one eastbound lane closed, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, June 26, for sidewalk work, lighting and electrical upgrades, and milling and resurfacing the roadway.
9. State Road (SR) 615/South 25th Street Resurfacing Project
Description: This -mile project began on August 18, 2024. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway to ensure long-term resilience, replacing damaged sidewalks to improve accessibility and pedestrian safety, upgrading signage and pavement markings to enhance visibility, adding lighting for signalized crosswalks at County Road (CR) 611/Edwards Road, Cortez Boulevard, and SR 70/Virginia Avenue, upgrading pedestrian signals at the three signalized intersections of CR 611/Edwards Road, Cortez Boulevard, and SR 70/Virginia Avenue to enhance pedestrian safety and replacing signal mast arms at CR 611/Edwards Road through a Locally Funded Agreement with St. Lucie County. 10. State Road (SR) 607/Emerson Avenue Resurfacing Project
Description: This project began on January 24, 2025. Project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the travel lanes to enhance safety and long-term resiliency, widening the existing 5-foot paved shoulder to 7-feet to enhance safety, constructing sidewalk (varying from 6 to 12 feet in width) along the east side of SR 607/Emerson Avenue from Hibiscus Road to North Road to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians, upgrading curb ramps along existing sidewalks to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians, installing concrete pads at two existing bus stops along northbound SR 607/Emerson Avenue, located approximately 300 feet south of Hibiscus Road and approximately 100 feet north of Belleair Avenue, to enhance safety, functionality, and long-term resiliency, and upgrading signage and pavement markings to improve safety, functionality, and traffic operations. SR 607/Emerson Avenue from approximately 1,200 feet south of Waterstone Boulevard to the intersection of North Boulevard and Emerson Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, August 29, for clearing and grubbing, roadway widening, sidewalk and ramp construction, and drainage work.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 23, Deland Avenue at SR 607/Emerson Avenue will be intermittently closed, as needed, through 5 p.m., Monday, August 25, for demolition work. The project improvements consist of reconstructing the east and west seawalls to enhance resiliency and longevity of the structures and performing concrete repairs to the bridges at various locations to improve resiliency and longevity. 12. State Road (SR) 607/Emerson Avenue Resurfacing Project
Description: The project began on March 24, 2025. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to enhance safety and long-term resiliency; constructing new acceleration lanes on SR 70/Okeechobee Road at select locations to accommodate safe U-Turn movements; widening median left turn lanes on SR 70/Okeechobee Road at South Header Canal Road and Shinn Road for improved traffic operations; converting the intersections of South Header Canal Road and Shinn Road to Restricted Crossing U-Turn (RCUT) Intersections to improve traffic flow and safety by eliminating direct left turns and through traffic movements from side streets; installing illuminated stop signs at Ideal Holding Road and South Header Canal Road to increase visibility and safety; reconstructing existing sidewalk curb ramps throughout the project limits and installing a new 6-foot concrete sidewalk from the Creekside Community to the SR 91/Florida's Turnpike entrance at SR 713/Kings Highway to enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians; extending lighting from east of CR 712/Midway Road to east of Shinn Road to boost nighttime visibility; replacing drainage at various locations throughout the project limits to enhance functionality and long-term resiliency; upgrading signage and pavement markings to improve safety, functionality, and traffic operations; and installing rumble strips to enhance safety. SR 70/Okeechobee Road between Ideal Holding Road and miles east of Shinn Road will have one eastbound lane closed around-the-clock beginning at 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, through Friday, June 27, for roadway widening, milling and resurfacing, streetlight and drainage work.
SR 70/Okeechobee Road between Gordy Road and Kings Highway will have one eastbound lane closed, Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27, for tree relocation along the back of the curb.

Description: This project began on August 14, 2023. In partnership with Indian River County, FDOT is pleased to announce the construction of the new interchange at SR 9/ I-95 and CR 606/Oslo Road and CR 606/Oslo Road improvements. Additionally, CR 606/ Oslo Road will have capacity improvements to four lanes from west of SR 9/ I-95 to 58th Avenue per Indian River County Resolution Nos. 2017-022 and 2017-023. As part of the SR 9/I-95 at County Road (CR) 606/Oslo Road New Interchange and CR 606/Oslo Road Widening Project, crews will implement a traffic shift by reducing the three-lane section of SR 9/I-95 in each direction to one lane between Indrio Road (Exit 138) and SR 60/20th Street (Exit 147). This lane reduction will occur nightly from Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Monday, June 30, to facilitate deck pours. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained via two constructed crossover lanes to facilitate the traffic shift.
