SR 15 is a north/south, two‐lane two-way undivided rural minor arterial, context classification C2, with two 12-foot travel lanes and 4-foot – 5-foot paved shoulders on both sides with a design speed of 60 mph, and with posted speed limits of 45 mph and 55 mph.
The proposed typical section for the entire 12.333 miles corridor is a two‐lane two-way undivided rural minor collector, context classification C2 which consists of two 12-foot travel lanes and two 12-foot shoulders (7-foot paved) on both sides of SR 15. The corridor is rural, running through large swaths of agricultural land with roadside swales. These sodded roadside swales are used to convey the runoff beyond the Department’s Right of Way following its natural flow patterns into neighboring vegetation fields.
