Project Limits: State Road (SR) 60 from East of Fort Drum Wildlife Entrance to West of County Road (CR) 512

Project Purpose: The resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation (RRR) project will extend the service life of the pavement, enhance roadway safety, and improve operating characteristics of the corridor.

Construction Start Date: Winter 2025

Construction Completion Date: Winter 2026

Estimated Construction Cost: $12 million

Scope of Work:

  • Repave and restripe the existing roadway within the project limits
  • Provide a new directional median opening at the St. Johns Improvement District Reservoir Entrance
  • Upgrade signing and pavement markings
  • Provide ground-in rumble strips on outside and inside shoulders
  • Upgrade substandard guardrail at bridges over C-52 Canal

Construction Impacts:

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
  • Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at Off-peak hours
  • Access to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times
