Scope of Work:
The purpose of the project is to improve safety along SR 714/SW Martin Highway from east of SW Stuart West Boulevard to west of Citrus Boulevard. Key improvements include repaving, restriping, and signage upgrades along the project limits, along with adding turn lanes and highway lighting at SW Boat Ramp Avenue, all in line with FDOT’s commitment to creating a safe transportation network.
- Repave and restripe the existing SR 714/SW Martin Highway from east of SW Stuart West Boulevard to west of Citrus Boulevard
- Upgrade signing and pavement markings along the project limits
- Widen SW Boat Ramp Avenue to accommodate turn lanes along the eastbound and westbound sides of SR 714/SW Martin Highway to enhance safety
- Modify highway lighting at SW Boat Ramp Avenue to enhance safety
Construction Impacts:
- Temporary lane closures will be required
- Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
- Access to properties will be maintained during construction
