Project Limits: North 22 Avenue/SW 12 Avenue from State Road (SR) 822/Sheridan Street to SR 848/Stirling Road
Project Purpose: This Complete Streets Project will resurface the asphalt pavement and improve bicycle and pedestrian safety throughout the corridor.
A Public Meeting Was Held: Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and was offered in-person and virtually simultaneously.
The in-person public meeting took place at the Hotel Dello Fort Lauderdale Airport located at 28 South Federal Highway, Dania Beach, Florida 33004.
The Virtual public meeting was held via GoToWebinar.
The public meeting consisted of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff was available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions were answered in the order received. Questions not answered during the event, will receive a response via writing following the meeting. Questions and comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting by contacting the Project Manager.

Anticipated Construction Start Date: Fall 2025
Anticipated Construction End Date: Winter 2027
Estimated Construction Cost: $3.5 million
Scope of Work:
- Repave and restripe the existing roadway within the project limits
- Install speed tables at various locations along the project corridor
- Install three raised intersections at SW 10 Street, SW 8 Street and SW 7 Street
- Upgrade signing and pavement markings including the addition of shared lane markings (sharrows) which indicate that cyclists should be expected in the lane

- Upgrade existing curb ramps and sidewalks to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
- Install roadway lighting along both sides of the roadway
Construction Impacts:
- Partial side street detours will be required to complete the raised intersections at SW 10 Street, SW 8 Street, and SW 7 Street
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
- Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours
- Access to properties will be maintained during construction
