Project Purpose: This Complete Streets Project will resurface the asphalt pavement and improve bicycle and pedestrian safety throughout the corridor.
Public Meeting: Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and will be offered in-person and virtually simultaneously.
The public meeting will take place at the Hotel Dello Fort Lauderdale Airport located at 28 South Federal Highway, Dania Beach, Florida 33004.

The public meeting will consist of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions will be answered in the order received. If your question is not answered during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the meeting. Questions and comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting by e-mailing the Project Manager.
Anticipated Construction Start Date: Fall 2025
Anticipated Construction End Date: Winter 2027
Estimated Construction Cost: $3.5 million
Scope of Work:
- Repave and restripe the existing roadway within the project limits
- Install speed tables at various locations along the project corridor
- Install three raised intersections at SW 10 Street, SW 8 Street and SW 7 Street
- Upgrade signing and pavement markings including the addition of sharrow pavement markings
- Upgrade existing curb ramps and sidewalks to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
- Install roadway lighting along both sides of the roadway
Construction Impacts:
- Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
- Temporary lane closures will be required during construction. Lane closures will be performed at off-peak hours
- Partial side street detours will be required to complete the raised intersections at SW 10 Street, SW 8 Street, and SW 7 Street
- Access to properties along the corridor will be maintained at all times
