Purpose of Project: To rehabilitate and extend the service life of two bridges in the City of Dania Beach. This will increase the resiliency of our infrastructure and promote the movement of goods and people.
FPID# 449243-1-52-01 consists of two (2) locations and two (2) bridge structures:
- Bridge Number 860001 – SR 5/US 1 over Dania Cut-off Canal
- Bridge Number 860591 – SR 848/Stirling Road over Canal C-10
Public Meeting Workshop: No public information meeting is scheduled for this project.
Projected Letting: July 2025
Anticipated Construction Start: Winter 2026
Anticipated Construction End: Winter 2027
Estimated Construction Cost: $2.4 Million
Project Improvements:
- Replace materials at the longitudinal and expansion joints with newer state-of-the-art materials.
- Repave the existing asphalt overlay on the bridges to improve smoothness and friction for motorists.
Construction Impacts:
- At least one through lane will remain At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
- All work will be done in phases to reduce the impacts of construction on the community.
- Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times.
- Access to businesses and residences will be during construction.
- Passenger access to and from bus stops will be maintained during construction.
