Scope of Work:
Upgrading the signalized intersection at SR-7 and Royal Palm/Copans Road by replacing the existing span wire system with mast arms to improve the resilience of the signal system
Modifying the existing median at SR-7 and widening the road to construct a new southbound right-turn lane
Lengthening the existing northbound turn lanes along Royal Palm Boulevard to increase capacity
Installing new LED luminaires to improve lighting at the signalized intersection to improve pedestrian and driver safety
Repaving and resurfacing all affected areas to restore pavement markings and installing new signage
Installing/adjusting new drainage structures, as required
Construction Impacts:
Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community
Temporary lane closures are expected to occur during off-peak hours
Nighttime work will be performed within the project limits
Temporary relocation of bus stops within work zones will be required
Access to properties and businesses adjacent to the corridor will be maintained at all times throughout construction
