Project Purpose: To enhance safety and mobility along SR 736/Davie Boulevard from SR 9/I-95 to SR 5/US 1 by leveraging advanced ITS technologies to improve connectivity and prevent incidents. This project aligns with the community’s vision for a more connected and safer transportation system that enhances quality of life.
Anticipated Construction Start: Spring 2026
Anticipated Completion End: Spring 2027
Estimated Construction Cost: $3 million
Scope of Work:
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment to include the following:
- Fiber optic cable
- Bluetooth devices at intersection locations
- Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to provide 100% coverage of the project limits
- Arterial Dynamic Message Signs (ADMS)
- Wireless Access Points (WAP)
Construction Impacts:
- No full roadway closures are anticipated
- Temporary lane closures may be needed during construction
- All temporary lane closures will occur at night or from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times during construction
