Project Limits: State Road (SR) 736/Davie Boulevard from SR 9/Interstate 95(I-95) to SR 5/US 1
Project Purpose: To install a fiber optic cable along SR-736/Davie Boulevard from SR-9/I-95 to SR-5/US-1 to connect the infrastructure for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment along the corridor.
Anticipated Construction Start:Spring 2026
Anticipated Completion End:Spring 2027
Estimated Construction Cost: $3 million
Scope of Work:
- Installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment to include the following:
- Fiber optic cable
- Bluetooth devices at intersection locations
- Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to provide 100% coverage of the project limits
- Arterial Dynamic Message Signs (ADMS)
- Wireless Access Points (WAP)
Construction Impacts:
- No full roadway closures are anticipated
- Temporary lane closures may be needed during construction
- All temporary lane closures will occur at night or from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times during construction
