Flagler Memorial Bridge Replacement Project
Restrictions:
- Flagler Drive is closed in both directions from 4 Street to the Flagler Memorial
Bridge around–the–clock until spring 2016 while workers reconstruct the road in this area.
The following detours are in place:
- Drivers going north on Flagler Drive from south of 4 Street should:
- Go west on Banyan Boulevard
- Go north on N. Dixie Highway
- Go east on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to Flagler Drive
- Drivers going south on Flagler Drive from north of the bridge should:
- Go north/south on Flagler Drive to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard
- Go west on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard
- Go south on N. Dixie Highway
- Go east on Banyan Boulevard to Flagler Drive
- Drivers going west on Flagler Memorial Bridge should:
- Go north on Flagler Drive to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard
- Go west on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard
- Go south on N. Dixie Highway
- Go east on Banyan Boulevard to Flagler Drive
- Drivers who want to go east on the Flagler Memorial Bridge should access the bridge from N.
Quadrille Boulevard.
- Left turn restrictions are in place from southbound Flagler Drive to the
eastbound Royal Park Bridge. The following detour is in place:
- Drivers going south on Flagler Drive who want to go east over the Royal Park Bridge
should go west on Lakeview Avenue to Chase Avenue, go south on Chase Avenue to
Okeechobee Boulevard, and go east on Okeechobee Boulevard to cross the Royal Park
Bridge.
- Marine Restrictions: Flagler Memorial Bridge opens for marine traffic, as needed, once per
hour at 15 minutes past the hour, except at 8:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday,
excluding special events and national holidays. Please note that the bridge opens for marine
traffic as needed for emergencies and for tugboats under tow. Bridge information is

23rd Street/Spruce Avenue Improvements
- 23rd Street, at Pinewood Avenue, is closed, around-the-clock, through 7 a.m.
Monday, Oct. 12, for underground utility work. Motorists traveling eastbound on 23rd Street
may detour south on Pinewood Avenue, to 22nd Street. Motorists traveling westbound on 23rd
Street may detour north to Northwood Avenue, or south to 22nd Street.
- Advanced notice: 23rd Street, at Tamarind Avenue, is scheduled to be closed, around-theclock,
beginning 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, through 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, for underground
utility work. Motorists may detour via 25th Street.
- Please note—Additional Roadwork in the Project Vicinity: The City of West Palm Beach
is currently performing construction activities on 22nd Street and Spruce Avenue, unrelated to
