Current Construction Lane Closures in Indian River County

17th Street Bridge Project

Traffic Impact:

  • Eastbound and westbound traffic on the 17th Street Bridge is down to one lane in each direction around the clock through summer 2021 for bridge beam repairs. Currently, westbound traffic on 17th Street Bridge is diverted to the eastbound travel lane through Jun. 2021. State Road A1A Shoulder Widening and Resurfacing Project

Traffic Impact:

  • Along State Road A1A from north of 46th Place to south of Coco Plum Lane the speed limit has been permanently reduced from 50 MPH to 45 MPH. During construction, the speed limit is temporarily reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH.

  • One lane in either direction of State Road A1A between Turtle Beach Road and Old Winter Beach Road will be closed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for sign installation. Two-way traffic will be maintained by a flag crew.

  • One lane in either direction of State Road A1A will be closed Monday through Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving. Two-way traffic will be maintained by a flag crew. For more information, please contact Community Outreach Specialist Kathleen Dempsey at 772-359-5118.

State Road A1A from Gracewood Lane to Castaway Boulevard in Vero Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • The northbound shoulder of State Road A1A will be closed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work. For more information, please contact Rafael Ureña at 772-882-5084.

State Road A1A from 23rd Street SE to Gracewood Lane in Vero Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • One lane in either direction State Road A1A will be shifted to the median turn lane Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work. For more information, please contact Rafael Ureña at 772-882-5084.

State Road 60 from just West of 44th Avenue to 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • One eastbound lane of State Road 60 from just west of 44th Avenue to 43rd Avenue is closed around the clock through May 2021 for drainage work.

  • One westbound lane of State Road 60 from just west of 44th Avenue to 43rd Avenue will be closed around the clock through May 2021 for drainage work. For more information, please contact Matthew Kirkland at 813-716-6339.
